Epson L1256 Review

Epson L1256 Review

2 years ago, I got a Canon A3 printer IP8770 and it served me well through tons of printing for the Metro Christmas fair. However, a year ago it broke down and I decided to get it fixed. It costed $186 to fix.

A couple of weeks ago, the printer died on me again and I decided it was time to get a new printer.

Here are the guidelines I gave myself

- Affordable

- Cost effective inks

- Print function only

- A4 size printer (after owning a A3 sized printer, I realised I don't use that size much)

 - Probably an Epson, as the last time I had an Epson, it lasted so so long.

- wifi printing

So Epson only has only 1 printer that suits this criteria, the L1250. Upon browsing on Lazada, I noticed that there was a white version, L1256, an online exclusive! I decided to just go for whichever colour was the cheapest, and lucky for me, it was the white one!

Watch my unboxing video below!

This printer uses the Heat Free technology, which apparently uses less power to print. This printer is also EXTREMELY LIGHT! Probably a little plasticky, which ehhhh, I'm ok with.

The ink filling process was easy and it stops automatically once the ink is filled. Printing on A4 in black and white was super fast, in colour was a little slower though. It could be because I was printing a high res pdf.

At first I was a little worried as the printer didn't seem to be able to grab hold of the 300gsm paper. With some help from me (pushing it down), it managed to catch the paper and prints well!

Most importantly, it prints well on my vinyl stickers and manages to print teal nicely too! Teal is a very tricky colour for printers.

All in all I'm happy with this printer and I can't wait to start printing some stickers for Letters Of Praise!

love, mer
